The Nightmare on Elite Street Tour with “The Russian Nightmare” Nikita Koloff, will be in Virden on Aug.15. The Canadian Wrestling’s Elite tour hosts 21 events in 21 days across five Canadian provinces.

Recipient of five world titles, Koloff said in a phone interview that he has never been to any of the places he will be going to on the Canadian tour. “That’s why this tour is so exciting,” said Koloff.

Koloff, now retired from wrestling, still has plenty of involvement with the wrestling community. He enjoys attending wrestling legend signings, meeting wrestling fans, and hearing old stories about wrestling. “Wrestling fans are the most loyal fans on the planet,” said Koloff

The state of North Carolina is where Koloff calls home. He is a practicing Christian minister, and operates his own “Universal Wrestling Alliance” (UWA).Often a wrestling related event will offer an opportunity to preach in a local church or at a men’s conference.

Between Koloff’s wrestling career and ministry, he has been to over 28 different countries. He has even been to Haiti. He visited an orphanage in Haiti, which one of his daughters, Tawni, (a nurse) financially supports through a non-profit organization. Tawni and her husband travel to the orphanage twice a year.

Koloff has four daughters and four grandchildren in three different states. Two daughters live in Nashville, Tennessee, one in Kentucky, and one in Maui, Hawaii. He is extremely proud of his daughters, who are all doing well. Koloff said, “Family is a high priority.”

Koloff’s oldest daughter Teryn is successful in real estate, and her husband plays in a Christian band, called “Red”. His youngest daughter, Kolby has a successful singing/songwriting music career in Nashville, and his daughter Kendra, in Maui, is a successful business woman with her husband.

When asked what advice Koloff would give to aspiring wrestlers, he said, “Pursue your dreams, and don’t give up.” This is keen advice from an admirable role model. To learn more about Nikita Koloaff visit www.nikitakoloff.com.
