Bud and Connie Hay are in the process of loading the van Tuesday morning, Sept. 5, and are about to head off to Brandon with clothing and hygiene products and even a colouring book or two.

The Hays initially wanted to donate from their used business, “It’s All Good” and then decided to include donations from others who wanted to give.

“I’ve got some back packs, diapers; somebody sent bubble bath...toiletries feminine hygiene products, new items. The clothing is not new. I asked that everybody bring their clothing in immediately useable condition. And I hope that it is because I didn’t have the manpower or the time to go through it, so I’m just hoping that people were respectful of that.”

Connie also asked that the boxed donations be labeled according to what is inside – whether it is suitable for small boys or seniors, etc.

The collection began about Aug. 30. Hay does not know exactly who the communities are that will receive the help. “It doesn’t matter, all I know is it’s people in need.”
