Wrestling fans relished in an action packed evening of wrestling at the Legion in Virden on Apr. 30.

The Canadian Wrestling Elite 8th Anniversary Tour featured wrestlers from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Missouri, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Illinois. The accomplished variety of wrestlers thrilled spectators with jaw-dropping action.

“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, WWE Hall of Famer, for one of the first times in 25 years met with loyal fans throughout the evening. He made a special appearance in the ring and spoke to the audience of his wrestling career, and the hard work it took to get him where he is. “Mr. Wonderful” is known for “The Great Betrayal” night when he turned his back on Hulk Hogan in 1984.

Audience members of all ages were in attendance, some sporting wrestling masks in support of their favourite wrestlers. The enthusiasm of the small children was contagious; wrestling is most certainly fun for the entire family. An encore wrestling event is Scheduled for May 15 in Virden.
