The Ladies Auxillary held their recent meeting on May 7 in their boardroom. President Whittle opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The singing of O Canada took place. Roll call was taken and there were 12 members present. The minutes of the last meeting were circulated and read.
Correspondence was read and dealt with and the Financial Statement was given.
Committee reports were also given.
The Ladies were busy with catering in March and April. March catering consisted of a noon luncheon, four funerals and the Branch Supper and Dance. April saw us cater to the Vet’s
supper, one funeral, one luncheon, one social and the Branch supper and dance.
A volunteer appreciation night was held on April 29. This year the Branch and the Auxillary combined their Strawberry Tea and Spring Tea held on May2. Winners of the grocery hampers were
Donna Knott, Marjorie Andrews and Ethel Bowles. Door prizes were won by Donna Knott, Jean Wardle, Joyce Cawston, Lexi Pennycook and Margaret
Gabrielle. The Cadet Inspection will be held on May 19.
Our next meeting will be held onJune 4th. This will be our last one before summer break. But we will still be available for any catering jobs that come up.
