Virden Royal Purple ladies have held three meetings since becoming members of the Canadian Royal Purple Society.

There were 18 members at the February meeting and 23 members at the March meeting.

Prior to the February meeting, several local organizations had representatives accept cheques from the Royal Purple as yearly donations.

Coffee and cookies were enjoyed before we proceeded with the remainder of the meeting.

It was announced that 40 ladies had renewed their memberships and joined the Canadian Royal Purple Society here in Virden.

We received our new Charter which is an historic occasion. A letter was received from our President with congratulations on this new adventure as we mold our
future.

Thank you letters were received from two schools for the donations toward FM Sound Field Systems for their respective schools. A thank you was also received
from the Manitoba Provincial Elks for selling Elks Foundation Cash Calendars. At the March meeting, a thank you was given for all the items brought for the Virden & Area Food Cupboard. A
donation was also given to the Virden & Area Daycare Centre.

We will be selling Mom’s Pantry items once again. We will also be hosting a Senior’s Tea in June. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a Life Membership to Dianne Hayward
for her many years of service. A social time over refreshments and conversation conclude the evening.
