Is anyone out there interested in purchasing our new History Book? We want everyone to pre-order so that we know how many books to get printed. We don’t want to have a lot left over, so please get your order in. Also, we don’t want anyone to be disappointed. The history book will cover the previous RM of Miniota including: Arrow River, Beulah, Crandall, Isabella, and Miniota. There will be a lot of reading in this book. To pre-order you can send a cheque for the deposit of $50 payable to: Prairie View Municipality, and mail it to Bridging the Years Box 145 Miniota, MB R0M 1M0. We will be taking orders until Jul. 31, 2017.  Don’t be disappointed – get your order in soon.

Another successful Shirtsleeve Summer Classic was held over the weekend of Aug. 14. The community centre really appreciates how willing everyone was to help out in any way. It was great to see many people “come home” for the celebration.

Congratulations to Breeanna Cousins and Andrew Sieklicki who were married in Brandon on Jul. 15.  Many friends and family from Miniota attended the celebration.

July 3rd, the residents took pleasure in a wiener-roast supper to celebrate July 1st. It was a very delightful evening of visiting.

We welcome Phyllis Janzen to our home. We hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Ethel Walton, and her daughter Gloria, attended her grandson’s wedding on Saturday. Ethel’s nephew, Allan from BC, visited for the week; and visited his dad Wes Williams in the Westman home.
