Is anyone out there interested in purchasing our new History Book? We want everyone to pre-order so that we know how many books to get printed. We don’t want to have a lot left over so please get your order in; and we don’t want anyone to be disappointed. The history book will cover the previous R.M. of Miniota, so that means, Arrow River, Beulah, Crandall, Isabella, and Miniota. There will be a lot of reading in this book. To pre-order you can send a cheque for the deposit of $50 payable to Prairie View Municipality, and mail it to Bridging the Years Box 145 Miniota, MB R0M 1M0. We will be taking orders until Sept. 15, 2017. Don’t be disappointed – get your order in soon.
Sympathy of the community goes to Sherry Gurr and Glen and Sharon Ehnes, and families on the passing of their dad Bob Smith. Bob passed away at Riverdale Health Unit in Rivers on Jul. 30.
Sympathy of the community goes to Bill and Sandra Standish, Brian and Cathy Sieben, Murray Bonner, Kevin and Carol Bonner, and all of their families on the passing of their Mom Donna Bonner. Donna passed away on Jul. 14 in Birch Lodge in Hamiota. Funeral Service will be held in the Miniota United Church on Aug. 25 at 2:00 pm.
Congratulations to Michael and Leanne Lougheed of Castor Alberta on the birth of their son Keaton William John who was born on Jul. 18. Congratulations to big sisters Emily and Madison, and Grandma Patti Lougheed.

The Miniota Ladies 18 Hole best ball tournament was held on Jul. 22, with 18 - 2 person teams taking part. A great time was had by all. The following are the results:
