This year, the Archie Light Horse and Pony Club wanted to spread Christmas cheer to local community seniors’ homes. The members made up gift boxes with personal care items, activity books, candies, lotions, soaps, and all sorts of treats.
The care boxes were given to residents in Elkhorn, Miniota, Oak Lake and Reston seniors’ homes on the Friday prior to Christmas.
Leader Shona Frizzley said, “We also made up Blessing Bags for the Samaritan House in Brandon to provide personal care items, warm mitts and hats for those less fortunate.”
This initiative was made possible by the generous support of Westman Dental (Brandon), Prairie Life Dental (Virden), Twin Valley Co-Op, Valleyview Co-Op and Your Dollar Store with More (Virden).
