February artist: Linda Tame
The featured artist at Arts Mosaic’s art gallery this month is Linda Tame. Her show is entitled Intangible Mysteries Etc. The Brandon artist says she wants to “visually document the intangible mysteries of life” in her powerful pieces.
She produces work in a variety of styles and subject matter, and chooses her painting medium depending on her mood.
“Slow-drying oil paint allows an escape into my inner world of contemplation and imagination. Long pauses are necessary. I like to use acrylics when a need for spontaneity and free movement is aroused.”
Tame has been studying fine arts at Brandon University and will soon complete her degree. She has her own art gallery in downtown Brandon - Artist Heart Studio & Gallery.
Her exhibit in Virden remains up until the end of February.
