Going into the tournament head coach Dale Lansing’s Virden Bantam Oil Capitals defeated Carman 6-4 in the Friday morning. Later in the day, in the 4:30 game Virden lost by a goal to Altona 6-5. 

In the round robin play Virden wasn’t back on the ice until Saturday evening.

To accommodate the Saturday night MJHL quarter final game, Virden vs Gimli played the 7:00 p.m. Bantam game in Reston arena where Gimli edged them out 2-1.

In the Sunday consolation game, Brandon shut out Grunthal in a 7-0 game.

Altona played Rivers at 3:00 Sunday afternoon, with Rivers winning Bronze 7-2.

The team from Swan Valley came into the tournament on top of the standings.  In the gold medal match Swan Valley took home gold, outplaying Gimli 8-1; Gimli was presented with silver medallions.
