A tragic accident on Thursday, Jan. 11, on a paved highway southeast of Brandon left a motorist deceased.
RCMP responded to a call at approximately 7:40 a.m. of a two-vehicle collision on Road 340, near the intersection of Thompson Road, in the RM of Cornwallis.
The initial investigation has determined that a car going north collided with a semi-truck going south.
The driver of the car, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene and identification is still pending.
The driver of the semi, a 22-year-old male from Portage la Prairie, was not injured.
Brandon RCMP along with a forensic collision reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
