"After being closed for a short amount of time, I am pleased to announce that the Manitoba Youth Job Centre is open once again," says Raphial Fehr, who is employed to help youth in the Virden area help out in their community.

The MYJC is a Manitoba Government funded program with the goal of helping the youth of our area build the skills they will need to join the workforce as responsible and organised workers who are ready to learn whatever skills their work will require.

People who are signed up with the MYJC program will have access to various services, such as help with resume building and cover letter writing.

As well, youth aged 13-16 can sign up for our OJS (Odd Job Squad) program, which is focused on giving the youth of our community real-world work experiences and skills.

The OJS had a car wash planned for Friday, Aug. 4 . It was a free service, although donations were welcome. This is the kind of the work they do.

The Odd Job Squad has events planned through August and will also accept job orders that are sent to us. Call us with any questions you might have at (204)-908-1128.
