To celebrate Scout-Guide Week, members of the 1st Virden Scouts & Virden Girl Guides joined Mayor Murray Wright as he proclaimed Feb. 16-22 as Scout-Guide Week.

On Feb. 18, the 1st Virden Scouts will host the annual Baden-Powell Banquet in celebration of Scout-Guide Week 2020, where they will be joined by the Virden Girl Guides for an evening of friendship, fun and food.

Kids in Scouts have adventures discovering new things and experiences they wouldn't discover elsewhere. Along the way, they develop into capable, confident and well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world.  Scouts is the start of something great, with programming for youth aged 5 – 26.
