Indeed, Christmas showed up in lights at Miniota, with the help of a near full moon.
Santa, kids, parents, a beautiful dog strolled along, and representations of the birth of the Christ Child floated by with a rack of Love, Joy, Peace… even a Bethlehem donkey strolled the streets carrying a very special person.
A hockey team, firefighters, and Miniota businesses paraded past.
This imaginative parade included several saddle horses and a team of drafts pulling a hay rack. Community enthusiasm matched the occasion. The seniors at Parkissimo had front-row seats as the parade passed by both sides of the lodge. Vehicles lined up to watch on North Railway Avenue and throughout town people sat out on their decks and steps awaiting the roving tour.
Children’s enthusiasm could be heard and seen. The Santa cruise was exciting, just as Christmas should be.
