Coca-Cola delivers something a little different

It's a great off-ice stage for a hockey team.

Santa comes in a variety of ways these days, but how about this in a big delivery truck? Santa Claus brought the Coca-Cola Canada Holiday Truck to Virden for a brief visit on Friday, Dec. 17. The brightly lit tractor-trailer has been on the first-ever "Deliver the Magic" cross-Canada tour that began mid-November.

"Coca-Cola Canada thought that with COVID and how everyone has been kind of down in the last couple of years, this would bring some cheer and some positivity to the season and hopefully lift everybody's spirits a little higher," said Santa Claus, a.k.a. Trevor Cook of Brandon. "It's been a great event to bring the community together again during the season."

In Virden, people had an opportunity to pose for a photo with the truck during its brief afternoon stop at the Valleyview Consumers Co-op C-Store.

The Holiday Tour has passed through over 100 Canadian communities so far.
