On Friday, June 22 at about 4:30 p.m. witnesses of a crash involving a bicyclist and a vehicle (that left the scene) speak with RCMP. The cyclist appeared to be standing following the crash. The crash occurred on King street at the intersection of Ninth Ave. S near Virden Junior High School.
VJH Principal Don Nahachewsky arrived on the scene minutes after the accident. A resident was in his yard on King Street and heard the unusual sound that he described as a crunch and called 911.
