Dauphin RCMP investigate a shooting after victim arrives at hospital

On Oct.10 at 11:05 p.m., Dauphin RCMP received a report of a 43-year-old Dauphin man who came to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers attended and learned that the victim had been walking in the area of 1st Street SW and 4th Avenue SW, at approximately 10:00 p.m. when he encountered three males on BMX bikes. They spoke to the man, who was subsequently shot.  The victim went to the Dauphin Regional Health Centre a short time later for treatment for a non-life-threatening wound. 

Dauphin RCMP are requesting area residents to review their home security footage in an effort to ascertain if the victim or suspects were captured on video.
