On Oct. 2, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter at a business, on Railway Avenue N., in Grandview.
It was reported that the incident occurred during the night. A male broke into the business, stole several items including power tools, and fled.
Officers identified a suspect and on Oct.13, Dauphin RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural property, in the RM of Ethelbert.
When police gained entry to the home, the suspect refused to listen to police commands and resisted arrest. A Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW)was deployed and he was taken into custody.
A search of the property resulted in the seizure of multiple power tools, lawnmowers, a snowblower and an ATV.
A man, 53, from the RM of Ethelbert, has been charged with several offenses including Break & Enter, Theft, Possession of Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest. He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court, on Oct. 16.
