Dauphin RCMP investigate shots fired

RCMP asks the public for information regarding this incident in Dauphin.

On Sept. 23, 2022, at approximately 6:20 pm, Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of an assault and shots fired on 6th Avenue Southwest in Dauphin, Man.

Officers responded immediately to the scene and located a 27-year-old female victim and a 58-year-old male victim, but the suspects had fled.

Initial investigation has determined that the victims were confronted by two females when they were entering a business. During the altercation, the female victim was struck in the head with a hard object and the male victim was cut. The suspects left the area.

The victims got in their vehicle and began to leave the scene when a man fired a firearm at the victims’ vehicle, striking the passenger side. The gunshot did not strike anyone. The victims were treated at hospital and released.

On Sept. 26, at approximately 11:40 am, Dauphin RCMP arrested the male suspect. Peter Flatfoot, 27, of Dauphin, had a modified firearm on him at the time of the arrest. He is facing multiple firearms-related charges as well as Mischief and Resist Arrest.

The two female suspects remain at large.
