On August 22, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Dauphin RCMP responded to a report of a house fire located at a residence in the community of Ethelbert, Manitoba.
Once the fire was brought under control and extinguished, firefighters entered the home and located a woman who was pronounced deceased.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Dauphin RCMP, along with Major Crime Services, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
Ethelbert is near Duck Mountain Provincial Park on PTH 10, the community is 60 km (37 mi) north of Dauphin, Manitoba.
