Enbridge invests $25,000 in Virden spray park project

Work on the Enbridge Line 3 pipeline replacement is expected to begin in the Virden area in August. Representatives from Alberta office and from the Cromer office visited Virden to present a $25,000 donation to the Spray Park that will be built north of the arena near the ball diamonds.

A beautiful little playground with a play structure has already been constructed where the future spray park will be added.

Virden was one of several communities in Westman to receive donations on June 12. Enbridge representatives met with Virden Spray Park executives, President of the committee Whitney Wright, Vice-President Alyssa Elliott, and Treasurer Tracy Landels.

The pipeline, originating at Hardisty Alta. and going east and south will see 1,660 kilometres of pipe replaced by the time it reaches Gretna, Man. Pipeline replacement will continue south of the border.
