On July 28, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Gimli RCMP received a report of a collision between a farm tractor and a motorcycle on Highway 8 at Siglavik Road (Road 108N) in the RM of Gimli.
When officers arrived on scene, the 61-year-old male driver of the motorcycle from Winnipeg was deceased.
Initial investigation has determined that the farm tractor pulling a discbine was travelling westbound on Siglavik Road when it collided with the motorcycle, which was travelling southbound on Highway 8.
The driver of the tractor, a 72-year-old male from Gimli, remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist and the RCMP Criminal Collision Investigative Team are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
