Love messages in the snow make the heart melt

Return of snow gives Vancouver woman the chance to respond to a Valentine's Day message

When a woman named Lynn looked out of her Pacific Blvd. condo window on the morning February 14, she must have smiled — or cried.

There, written across the street in the freshly fallen snow in David Lam Park, was a huge Valentine's Day message: "I (heart) U LYNN."

How enterprising and fast-thinking her partner must have been to take advantage of such a fairly rare occurence in Vancouver. And what perfect timing for the snowfall.

Lynn might have wanted to tell the world that the love was returned but, alas, the snow melted that day.

Then, on Saturday night, much to the displeasure of those hoping to be taking photos of the return of spring flowers, it snowed again.

This time it was Lynn who venutred out into the Yaletown park with a shovel.

On Sunday morning, written in the snow in the same area was the message, "I (heart) U 2."

It really does make the heart melt.
