After months of planning and practicing, Virden & District Chorale is ready to stage Mamma Mia, the popular musical set to music from pop group ABBA.
Dress rehearsals are going on early this week and opening night is Wednesday evening at the Aud Theatre.
A large cast and crew have been recruited from Virden, all over Westman and as far away as Winnipeg. Unlike many productions that have a leading man and leading lady, Mamma Mia has six lead characters who come together on a Greek island for a wedding.
Behind (and in front of) the scenes is a live orchestra, costume managers, lighting and sound people, makeup and hair artists, and of course director/producer Michelle Chyzyk.
The production runs from Wednesday the 21st to Sunday the 25th's matinee.
