The nominees, along with those who have been on the ballot without successful selection for three years, will be eligible for consideration.

Nominations can be made in one of four categories:

Team

Past inductees from Virden and Kenton include Dorothy (Ferguson) Key who was inducted in 2019 for her place in Softball / Baseball; Virden baseball athlete Vince Eastman was inducted in 2017; and in 1990 Gerry Mackay, from Kenton / Brandon, was inducted in the Builder category for baseball.

“There’s an incredible history of our athletic achievements in our province, and the Hall of Fame is an important way for us to acknowledge and celebrate these individuals, builders, and teams,” said Janet McMahon, Sport Manitoba President & CEO.

To be eligible for consideration, a candidate must be born or lived in Manitoba, or spent the highlighted portion of their career competing for our province.
