Mary Montgomery School presents “A Pirate Christmas”

Mary Montgomery students are dressed as elves, Santa and of course - Pirates!

The Kindergarten to Grade 4 students of Mary Montgomery School presented two performances of “A Pirate Christmas” in front of capacity crowds of parents, relatives and friends in the Virden Aud Theatre on Dec. 14. The program, created by John Jacobson and Roger Emerson, depicts elves, exhausted from making toys for Santa and tired of the cold, in need of some rest and relaxation in the warm island sun – snorkeling, collecting seashells, building sand castles and catching a wave behind the pirate ship. White Beard (a.k.a. Santa Claus) and the elves teach the scallywags about true treasure and the joys of giving to others.
