For two days, Welsh ponies and cobs (a sturdy, larger version of the Welsh breed) showed in Virden's agricultural grounds.
Every July 1 weekend the Manitoba Welsh Pony & Cob Association hold their show in Virden, attracting many entries from Saskatchewan, sometimes Welsh breeders from Alberta, and of course Manitoba's Welsh pony owners.
