Elly competed in the intermediate level, and place 3rd in three dances and 4th in another one. The competition day ended with a Scottish inspired meal of meat pies, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and a piece of shortbread. Those attending the lunch were then entertained by the group performing some of their dances. Congratulations Elly!

As we go to print, our area is welcoming our first spring rain to wash things off and get the growing season going. Nothing like a gentle April rain unless it is a June rain after the crops are in. April must be the next busiest month to June, as our community wraps up dance, gymnastics, hockey, holds our Donor’s Choice campaign, three suppers including the UCW supper, our welcoming evening and an MCC steak supper community fundraiser and more.  “Who says there is nothing to do in a small rural community!” A Linda Clark quote
