Police seek suspects in armed robbery

Portage la Prairie RCMP are asking for public assistance in locating and identifying these people.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday,  police in Portage la Prairie were alerted to trouble at a business.

On Feb. 21, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a panic alarm at a business located in the 700 block of Saskatchewan Avenue, in Portage la Prairie.  While officers were responding, an update had been received that a robbery had just occurred. Officers attended and learned that two male suspects had entered the establishment, one armed with a handgun, the other with a knife, and had stolen cash and cigarettes. The suspects fled westbound from the business and are believed to have entered an awaiting vehicle. Surveillance cameras captured footage of these two suspects entering the store. Just prior to this robbery, an unidentified female is seen entering the store, where she walks around briefly, then leaves.
