On May 23, 2018, at approximately 7:30 pm, a 56-year-old male was assaulted by unidentified suspects at his residence in the 400 block of Royal Road North. The victim suffered severe, life-threatening injuries, and was transported to hospital. Police Dog Services, Forensic Identification Services, and Major Crime Services investigators all attended to assist with the investigation.
On June 17, 2018, the victim succumbed to his injuries. This is now a homicide investigation.
