Portage la Prairie RCMP investigating substantial theft

Over $70,000 worth of iPhone's stolen.

On March 10, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report of a theft that occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m., the night before, at a business on Sissons Drive, in Portage la Prairie.

It was reported that three adults - two males and a female - entered the business and went to the electronics area. The female suspect distracted the employee, and the two males broke into the locked cabinet and stole approximately 60 Apple iPhones. The entire incident occurred within minutes. The theft was not discovered until the following morning.

The total value of the theft is over $70,000. This incident is believed to be related to three other similar thefts that occurred within the last month in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and two locations in Alberta - Brooks and Medicine Hat.
