RCMP looking for leads in hit & run

Virden RCMP Detachment is asking for help in finding the driver of the vehicle that hit a child on a bicycle, on Friday, June 22 at about 4:00 p.m.. The RCMP received a report from a complainant stating that a kid on a bicycle was struck by a truck.

Virden RCMP Detachment is asking for help in finding the driver of the vehicle that hit a child on a bicycle, on Friday, June 22 at about 4:00 p.m..

The RCMP received a report from a complainant stating that a kid on  a bicycle was struck by a truck. The truck was described as a Silver Dodge Ram quad cab (possibly 3.4 ton) with a tool box in the truck bed.

The complainant flagged the driver of the Dodge Ram to stop. The vehicle stopped, however, it drove off once the complainant got to the child.

This incident happened at the intersection of King Street and Ninth Ave.

The Silver Dodge Ram was driving Westbound on King Street.

The license plate was not obtained. The driver of the truck was a male.
