Royal Purple presents poster winners

The Royal Purple in Virden bring the message to youth.

In January all the schools in Fort La Bosse received information on the Brain Injury Awareness Poster Contest and all students were encouraged to participate.

In February the posters were collected and judged locally with three entries in each of the four levels being sent to the Manitoba Provincial Association for judging with all the other posters received from other schools in the province.

At this level, there were eight students from Fort La Bosse (FLB) along with four students from Winnipegosis that were sent to the National Annual Meeting held in Saskatoon for judging at the national level, which consisted of students’ posters from B.C. to Manitoba.

We were very pleased to learn that five students from FLB were among the winners:

Gr. 1-2: 3rd prize went to Isla Roper from Reston School

Gr. 3-4: 1st prize went to Annorah Zarn from Reston School; 3rd prize went to Anaya Jain from Mary Montgomery School in Virden

Gr. 5-6: 3rd prize went to Keightley Stewart from Virden Junior High

Gr. 7-8: 2nd prize went to Kelis Hunter from Virden Junior High
