Look for an opportunity to take a selfie in downtown Virden this Christmas season. In fact, you can start today, Nov. 10. Get out your cell phone.
A Secret Santa has teamed up with Arts Mosaic for the Selfie Scavenger Hunt to provide a prize too. It’s a way to “have a fun community event that gets people out and about seeing the sites, spending time in the community,” says Adeline Savy, chairperson of the Arts Mosaic board.
Look for clues, a different one each week between Nov. 10 and Dec. 8 – five weeks of clues. The Empire-Advance will have a clue in the paper each of these weeks. For example, this week between Nov. 10 – Nov. 16, the clue in today’s paper can help to guide you to the right location and once there, snap your selfie.
“These locations are all in the downtown area, so they'll be easy to find,” says Savy. “There is a clue in this week's paper and there will also be a clue on social media posts every Friday.”
