Selkirk RCMP searching for three suspects following shooting

What may have been a targetted shooting sent victims to hospital.

At approximately 11:45 pm on February 17, 2023, Selkirk RCMP responded to a report that a male had been shot at a residence on Britannia Close.

Upon arrival, officers located a 28-year-old male outside of the residence who had been shot as well as an injured 26-year-old male who had been assaulted with an object. Both males were transported to hospital.

The investigation has determined that three suspects had forcibly entered the home but were pushed out by the residents. Once outside of the home, one of the suspects shot the 28-year-old male victim who was one of the residents.

All three suspects fled in a vehicle prior to officers arriving on scene. The vehicle is described as a dark blue or black, two-door, Chevrolet Cobalt.

The RCMP believe this was a targeted attack and that the suspects and victims are known to each other.

The suspects have been identified and all have warrants for their arrest in relation to this incident.
