Harding Fair, in its 118th year, held a full slate of classes. Entries included pens of commercial cattle, purebred classes including the Ron Sangster Memorial Supreme Bull and Female classes, plus the Angus Summer Gold Show. Judge Brent Stewart selected the best of the best.
“The fair was well attended. Entries were down in some sections but overall, a great day for getting started up after two years off,” says Travis Hunter.
Heavy horses skipped the Milk Run fairs held throughout the week due to breed shows being held in larger centres this year.
However, the light horse show ran in their fenced ring where gymkhana was held later in the day.
In the turf ring, the miniature horses held a full slate of classes.
Produce, baking, arts and crafts entries were displayed and the church/hall was filled with quilts and sewing pieces.
