-Heidi Green’s Sweet lil’ Moments Photography is based in Hargrave, about 10 minutes west of Virden.
She started out with a focus on newborn photography and over the years she has expanded to include maternity, family, children’s portraits, commercial and business headshots, grad, couples/engagement and weddings.
Green has been a professional photographer since 2013.
She says, “My background is in graphic design, so the two have kind of always gone together with my work. Although, I was born and raised in Manitoba, I worked for a number of years at a newspaper in North Dakota. When I relocated to Virden, I wasn’t finding much of a need for my skill in that area so I decided to focus more on the photography aspect. The more I learned, the more I grew to love the whole process.”
She has developed her skill through workshops and practice.
“When my busy season ends, my biggest focus is improving my skills and how I can be more creative for the next shooting season. I’m constantly training and doing workshops for that reason. My daughters have also always been my “practice models” for a lot of ideas that I want to try to create.
I almost always use my 70-200 mm lens during my sessions. I just love the bokeh look I get from using that lens.
