Thompson RCMP investigating homicide

Police have warrants for two - a man, 34 and for a boy, 16.

A man, 33 was shot and died of his wounds. Police have made two arrests and have warrants out for two more individuals.

On Aug.30, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Thompson RCMP responded to a weapons call at a residence located on Ashberry Place, in Thompson.  Officers arrived on the scene and located a 33-year-old male who had been shot. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  An investigation was opened by Thompson RCMP and included Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services.

 
Investigators have determined that four male individuals became involved in an altercation with two other males at an apartment complex on Ashberry Place in Thompson. The altercation led to the shooting of the 33-year-old.

 

RCMP have arrested and charged the following in relation to this homicide: - Noah Crane, 26, of Oxford House, charged with 2nd Degree murder. - David Linklater, 20, of Thompson, charged with Robbery and Assault Causing Bodily Harm (x2).

 

Warrants of Arrest have been issued for the two remaining suspects: - Ashley Clipping, 34, of Winnipeg, charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm (x2). - A 16-year-old male, from Oxford House, charged with Manslaughter and Robbery with Firearm.
