The Town of Virden Christmas banquet is a festive occasion every December. Here, long-serving staff are shown appreciation. This year, Virden’s Chief Administrative Officer Rhonda Stewart, has reached a remarkable 30-year milestone.
Citizen awards are also presented to those who serve within Virden, some working behind the scenes, others in positions of leadership. Citizens who help out, who volunteer, or in some measure go above and beyond, are recognized at the Town of Virden Christmas banquet.
Such was the case for Chris Leach, recipient of the Citizen of the Year award. Along with Leach, three other citizens were also nominated by their peers and they received recognition for that.
