Trio wanted for aggravated assault

Violent attack occured on Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation 

On Dec. 28, just before 7:00 p.m. officers received a phone call about a male who had been assaulted in the 100 block of Townsite Bay.

Upon arrival officers met with an adult male victim who related three adult suspects attended to his residence and demanded money. The suspects entered his residence and began assaulting him.

During the assault one suspect produced a knife and attempted to stab the victim. The victim received a laceration to his hand. The suspects robbed the victim of an undisclosed amount of money and fled the residence.

The victim was transported to hospital to have his injury treated.

Police continue to investigate this incident. Warrants for arrest have been issued for the three suspects. Landon Dwayne Desmarais, 18-year-old male from Sandy Bay First Nation is wanted for Robbery with a weapon. No photo is available for Landon Desmarais at this time. 

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
