On a chilly Nov. 23 evening, the annual Memory Tree Lighting Ceremony took place in conjunction with the Very Virden Christmas Light-Up Night. The memory tree, located on Seventh Avenue beside Flower Attic & Gifts, has been outfitted with new LED lights thanks to a donation by Virden Home Hardware. As well, Michelle Cabernel and Gina Bradbury have re-designed the memory boards. Bulbs may yet be purchased in memory of a loved one at various businesses in town and the names will be entered on the memory board.
