Staff and students gathered in the gym at Virden Collegiate on the evening of Thursday, June 21 to recognize the top achievements in sports and citizenship.
A new addition to the ceremony this year were the Philanthropy Fund Grants in which a committee of students awards monetary grants to worthy projects in the school division.
The grant recipients were:
- The Virden Junior High Lunch Program, teacher Lola Thunderchild
- The Virden Junior High Composting Project, teacher Regan Waller-Brereton
- The Virden Collegiate Healthy Living Gym, teacher Curtis Plett
