Leah O’Callaghan spent a two-week holiday travelling by VIA rail to Edmonton, and then travelled by car with relatives to Fox Creek, Alta. She made a tour of where the devastating forest fires were. She had a lovely time visiting with family and sightseeing.

Danny and Karen Argue are pleased to welcome a new grandson, Landon Lawrence, born to Loren and James Shaw of Russell on Sept. 19.

Mac and Pat Lelond have just returned from a bus trip holiday visiting all the Atlantic provinces. They started their holiday in Halifax, stayed in St. John, N.B. and crossed the Confederation Bridge to P.E.I. They visited Cape Breton Island following the Cabot Trail around. It was then a six-hour ferry ride from Sydney, N.S. to Port aux Basques, Nfld., circling around the north coast to arrive at St. John’s. They report the fall colours were not out yet as all the countryside was still green.

Rev. Chad McCharles from Neepawa United Anglican Shared Ministry church attended a gathering at the Miniota United Church this past Thursday presenting to Miniota Anglican and United congregational members, Birtle Anglican and United congregational members and Shoal Lake United members, speaking on how the Neepawa shared ministry came about. Further conversations will take place if congregations are interested in exploring shared ministry in our communities.
