Princess Lodge has three new residents. A Miniota woman saw sights in Ontario.

Correction from Oct. 27 news: Crystal Downing, daughter of Gordon and Darlene Downing from Enderby, B.C. visited their great aunt, Ethel Bowles, Oct. 19 and 20.

The entertainment we had on Oct. 24, the Country Travelers, should have read: Arthur Maxwell, Debra Mallar, Sylvia Dower and Milton Henry. Sorry Sylvia and Milton you should never do anything ahead of time.

Zane’s first hockey game is the 28th and 29th. So, I hope the Lord will forgive me. He plays 11:30 on Sunday, the 29th.

On Oct. 31, the children from the daycare are coming to show us their costumes.

Our birthday party is on the 31st as well.

The pharmacist from Virden Drugs is coming on Nov.1 to give us our flu shots.

Donna and Clair Couling have moved into the Lodge. Otto Slater has also moved into the Lodge. I hope they will enjoy their new home.

Janice Kerr travelled to Trenton, Ont. to spend time with her daughter Jill and Alex Kerr and her granddaughter Julia. She enjoyed seeing the sights of the area.

Our Miniota community extends sympathy to Dean and Debbie Fenty and their family on the death of Dean’s mom Lottie Fenty at the Virden Hospital on Oct. 24. Sympathy also to Dean’s siblings Bud, Carol and Don, and Audrey.

Terry Howard and his family from Saskatoon, and Cindy Howard and Mike Shewchuk from Cranbrook, were home to attend their mother Betty Howard’s funeral on Oct.28.

Parents and grandparents enjoyed the annual Halloween parade on Tuesday afternoon at the Miniota School. A Miniota tradition!
