In Manitoba club volleyball action Club West Rage went undefeated to claim the U14 Girls Provincial Club Volleyball title in Winnipeg at the Dakota Community Centre May 5 - 6.
Rage started out strong with Saturday’s power pool play, going undefeated with wins over Vision Thunder, Vision Rage and Dynamo Grey.
Sunday’s playoff round started with a two-set sweep in the quarter-final against Cats Gold from Brandon, to move on to the semi-final.
Rage went up against Dynamo Red in the semi-final match up winning 25-18 and 25-20 and advancing to the championship match.
Club West Rage played Vision Rage in a thrilling provincial final, winning the first set marathon 26-24 and coming out strong in the second set 25-14 to claim the gold medal.
The dominating Club West team heads to Edmonton May 17 - 19, where they look to win gold on the bigger stage and bring home the national title.
