The 2018 North & South Westman Regional STARSkate Competition brought just over 80 competitors to Elkhorn on Jan. 27.
These skaters represented 11 different clubs from across Westman. Events were: CanSkate – Stages 1-5, FreeSkate - Star 1 – 4, Elements - Star 2 - 4, Interpretive - Pre-Intro, Bronze and Silver, and Creative Improv.
Skaters wishing to compete in the STARSkate Championships in Hazelridge Mar. 3 to 4 must first compete at the regional level.
The countless hours of practice and dedication by both skaters and coaches was evident on the competition ice. It was a fantastic day of skating!
The Elkhorn Figure Skating Club was honoured to host this event and is very appreciative of all the support and hard work from our club members, coaches and the community as a whole.
