Six-year-old Demi Hodson literally looks up to Oil Caps assistant captain Jayden Wojciechowski. She and her little sister Willow play Squirt hockey in Virden, and they both took to the ice with the Caps before a game Nov. 15 in the ceremonial role of the “seventh man” flag bearers. The tradition gives minor hockey players a sense of what it’s like to be in the MJHL.
