We continue to follow former Virdenite, speed skater Alexa Scott, skating in world competition.
At Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Poland, the Canadian team comprised of Alexa Scott (Clandeboye, Man.), Emmanuelle Côté (Chicoutimi, Que.) and Laura Hall (Salmon Arm, BC), took fourth place. This was Canada’s top result on the last day of the ISU World Junior Speed Skating Championships.
The Canadian team's sole medal over the weekend at the World Junior Championships came in the most important category, the Allround standings, as Scott won bronze on Saturday after finishing third in the women's overall standings.
