Virden, Elkhorn and Hartney skaters dominate the contingent of Westman figure skaters selected to participate in the 2018 Manitoba Winter Games in Thompson.
Of the 14 Westman skaters heading to the games, nine are from southwestern Manitoba communities. The nine skaters are:

The 2018 Manitoba Winter Games will be held in Thompson March 4 - 10, 2018. The figure skating events are scheduled for that last half of the games March 7-10.
A total of 47 Manitoba skaters are heading to the games, Sports Manitoba announced Nov. 24.
