Thirteen-year-old Darbi Poole from McAuley is playing with the 14U Girls Manitoba Baseball Team. This girls’ hardball team will be playing in the Girls 14U Western Canada Championships in Kamloops, BC, Aug. 18, 19, 20, 2017.
Meanwhile, the team has been practicing, playing in tournaments and exhibition games against PeeWee teams to prepare for the competition at the Westerns.
Poole, from a rural baseball loving family, is the only player from this area on the team. Others come from Vita, Steinbach, Niverville, Ste. Rose, Onanole, Brandon, and Carberry areas
